Care Community Services Society (CCSS) is a social service agency committed to making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, from children and families to the elderly in Singapore. When they approached us, it was with a vision for digital transformation across several arms of their operations—each dedicated to a unique facet of care. Our role was to help them unify their processes, digitize their records, and ultimately, improve the way they support those in need.
Transforming Case Management for Impactful Social Work
One of the first initiatives CCSS undertook with us was the development of a comprehensive Case Management system. This system was designed to empower social workers and volunteers to track every aspect of their engagement with beneficiaries—from session notes and financial aid entitlements to personal history, family relationships, and program attendance. Volunteers change, cases evolve, and skilled help is sometimes urgently needed. Our solution ensured seamless knowledge transfer and continuity of care, regardless of who picked up the case.
Just as importantly, the system provided organization-wide visibility, enabling management to monitor progress at a high level and draw insights that could be shared with ministries to reflect on broader social trends. Throughout the development process, the CCSS team brought their passion and precision, rigorously testing and contributing feedback to shape a system that truly served their daily needs.
Supporting the Young Through Smarter Child Care Systems
The second major project focused on CCSS’s after-school programme for disadvantaged children. We built a Child Care system that profiled enrolled students and integrated a grant calculator, aligned with MSF policies. The tool intelligently computed grants based on family profiles and was designed to be fully configurable by CCSS staff, ensuring agility in adapting to future policy shifts without requiring additional technical support.
To further enhance the programme, we integrated a facial recognition and temperature capture attendance system—critical during the COVID-19 period. The system also cross-validated attendance records against grant conditions, ensuring compliance with funding criteria and automating the reporting process to MSF. What once took hours across multiple spreadsheets could now be completed in just minutes.
Elevating Elderly Care with Customizable Tools
CCSS's third major initiative involved enhancing their elderly care efforts in alignment with AIC Singapore’s evolving needs. We delivered a flexible system for conducting and tracking elderly wellness checks, allowing CCSS to customize questionnaires based on updated guidelines and care practices. Just like the other systems, this solution enabled seamless data extraction and reporting to AIC, ensuring visibility into the wellbeing of the seniors under their care.
A Partnership Rooted in Purpose
Our journey with CCSS is a shining example of what purposeful collaboration can achieve. From social work and child care to elderly support, we’ve helped digitize and streamline their operations so they can focus on what they do best—serving the community. Today, CCSS remains one of our most treasured partners, and we are proud to walk alongside them in their mission to uplift and empower Singapore’s vulnerable communities.
