In the world of oilfield services, precision isn't optional—it's the standard. Their product design and manufacturing processes involve highly complex Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, sometimes reaching up to five tiers deep. Maintaining this level of sophistication using a file-by-file management system, alongside manual coordination across multiple systems, was fast becoming an unsustainable challenge.
A Need for Transformation
OMS’s Engineering team was juggling information between 3 to 4 disjointed systems, struggling to maintain consistency in part numbering, document handling, and version control across product lifecycles. Their workflows were prone to inefficiencies and miscommunication—issues that were especially problematic given the strict traceability and documentation standards of their industry.
However, OMS brought to the table a highly disciplined, process-oriented, and detail-driven team. Their dedication to finding the right solution partner meant that our proposal went through rigorous scrutiny. Every detail was evaluated, every feature justified. We began the project with an AGILE methodology, working closely with OMS to ensure that the solution was shaped to their exacting needs while allowing flexibility for future expansion. Central to the implementation was a future-ready Part Number Management System that aligned with their current protocols but could scale with their evolving operations. We also built a customized Engineering Change Management module that embedded their approval chains, documentation checkpoints, and process governance into every BOM revision.
Document control was another critical focus area. We extended and customized the Document Management module to reflect their BOM structure, tightly integrating it with the Engineering Change process. This eliminated duplicate handling, minimized communication errors, and ensured that each document remained traceable and aligned with certified process flows.

The project was delivered successfully with strategic foresight—full rehearsals, data migration simulations, and meticulous planning helped ensure a smooth transition. The transformation began with a pilot in their Singapore operations and quickly gained traction across regional offices, demonstrating the adaptability and robustness of the ERP foundation we deployed.
Continuing the Journey Together
Today, we continue to work with OMS Oilfield Services as they embark on Phase 2 of their digital innovation roadmap. Building on the strong foundation laid during the first phase, we are now extending the ERP platform to encompass Operations, Sales, Purchase, Quality Management, and Production.
